Top free iPhone and Android apps for health management

I have a droid so I have tried many of the free apps and these are the ones that I have saved on my phone. What apps do you find most useful for your smart phone?



Both have the following apps:
  • !!! LOVE THIS ONE!!! Calorie Counter by FatSecret- seems to know the nutrition info for many brands, restaurants, etc. Also include a physical activity journal. Allows you to scan product barcodes as method of recording food intake.  Plus much more....
  • Kroger mobile coupons- connect with your shoppers card and download coupons directly from your phone to your card. You can view the coupons that you have loaded on your phone while you shop. 
  • Simple pedometer apps
  • Barcode scanners that tell you what store has the item for the least amount of money
  • Restaurant nutrition facts apps
  • Weight watchers points calculators
  • Cellfire mobile coupon app, upload coupons to your store cards directly from your phone
  • Key ring- organize all your store member cards on your phone. 
  • Urban Spoon- look up where to eat in your are
  • Betty Crocker cook book



iPhone:

  • Fooducate- This is an apple employee top pick. It can help you find the healthiest products when you are grocery shopping. It scans product barcodes and tells you how healthy that food item is and recommends healthier options! I wish they had this for droid!!! 
  • Coupon Sherpa or Yowza- mobile coupon apps



Droid:

  • WHERE- mobile coupon app, like Yowza but for Droid
  • Grocery Tracker- Great for those who need help planning meals. Features include menu planner, Multiple shopping lists (different lists for different stores), Inventory Management, Automatic Reorder Lists, Custom Aisles Sorting per Store, Price Tracking, Price Comparisons, Coupons, Recipes

  1. myfitnesspal is also another great app for the phones. You can check them out at www.myfintesspal.com. It lets you keep track of your daily intake, exercise, recipes and has a large database of food items. I've been using it for about a week now and I love it. It's easy to use... it remembers the foods you eat most.
    Another shopping app I use is Out of Milk. But, I'm going to check out Grocery Tracker as well.
